Joshua Tree runs on climbers, musicians and people who came out for a weekend and never left, and all of them eat breakfast somewhere. This is that somewhere, a small counter on the Twentynine Palms highway that fed the town long before the rental boom found it. Breakfast is plain and correct: eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns, and coffee refilled without anyone asking.
