Le Dive built its name downtown as a Dimes Square regular's bar; this West Village outpost softens the edges into a polished impression of a Parisian bar-tabac, all bistro tables and spritzes. The sidewalk patio is the whole draw - locals start circling by 5pm once the sun's out, chasing a seat with a mustardy steak tartare and a glass of pét-nat. It trades the original's downtown grit for a chinos-not-oversized-jeans crowd, but the day-drinking instinct is identical.
