Taylor's Automatic Refresher opened on Highway 29 in 1949 as a walk-up burger stand, and the ritual has barely shifted: order at the window, take a number, wait at a picnic table under the trees. Joel and Duncan Gott bought it in 1999 and renamed it Gott's Roadside in 2010 after a trademark dispute. The giveaway that you are in wine country is the drinks list, where the local bottles sit next to the milkshakes.
