Rocky's Crown Pub has been anchoring a corner of it long enough to outlast multiple trends, and the formula hasn't moved: made-to-order burgers, proper fries, draft beer, cash only, adults only. The lunch special - a 1/3 lb cheeseburger, fries, and a pint - is one of the better-value meals in the city. San Diego has no shortage of places that work hard to be something; Rocky's is fine being exactly what it is.
