Uptown bars keep score in throws: beads, coconuts, ribbon medallions and whatever the neighborhood krewes hand out get nailed to the walls and never come down. Kingpin adds bowling trophies and a pool table to the pile, keeps the beer cheap, and fills with people who live within six blocks rather than people who read about it somewhere. Nothing in here has been upgraded in years, and the regulars would object immediately if it were.
