Seattle has had Russian piroshki counters since the 1970s and a Filipino community far longer, and Pinoyshki is what happens when one cook is raised inside both traditions. Alyssa Anderson took over a 1994 bakery in 2016 and started folding sisig, adobo and garlic asado into Eastern European dough, which turns out to be an unusually good delivery system for them. The pelmeni are still made the old way, so you can order both halves of the argument at once.
