The Wash took over the old Rose Temple space in 2024 with a full identity swap - Hunter S. Thompson's desert road trip reimagined as a Capitol Hill cocktail bar, framed cacti and Route 66 signs under a disco ball the size of a beach ball. The bathrooms alone are worth the visit: a red-lit tanning-bed room on one side, a sage-toned desert-thunderstorm room on the other. It shape-shifts by the hour - quiet booth conversation early, DJ-driven dancing once the LEDs kick in.
