Cananea takes its name from a copper-mining town in Sonora where a 1906 labor strike became one of the sparks that lit the Mexican Revolution - an origin story that suits a neighborhood like Juárez, historically working-class and now in full gentrification. The space runs from morning coffee through lunch and into the late afternoon with a rotating menu of Mexican comfort food. It draws both the old Juárez and the new: neighbors who've been around for decades and the creative crowd that moved in after 2015.
