Rocco's Cafe

Rocco Coscarelli opened a food shop in the Excelsior in 1932, and his grandson carried the family name to Folsom Street in 1991, adding the word Cafe to cover breakfast. It is now the oldest restaurant in SoMa and one of very few places in the neighbourhood where you can sit down for eggs, which earned it a place on the city’s Legacy Business Registry in 2024. Italian-American right through: chicken marsala, meatball subs, fried zeppole, and a front-row seat for the Folsom Street Fair.
