Linda's Tavern

Broadway, Seattle · $$

Linda's opened in February 1994 with co-founders of Sub Pop behind it, and it became the last place Kurt Cobain was spotted alive. That history lingers without overwhelming the place: locals and visitors show up for Western-themed decor, burgers that don't pretend to be anything fancier than they are, and a jukebox that matters. Weekend brunch runs until 3 p.m., kitchen stays open until midnight every night, and the back patio is where the real action happens when the sun's out.
