Kindle's Donuts

In the 1950s a small Southern California drive-in chain bolted enormous fiberglass donuts to its roofs, and a handful of those buildings survive around Los Angeles; Kindle's, on South Normandie, is one of them and has been frying under its own for decades. The counter runs on the standards executed properly: raspberry glazed, Texas glazed, buttermilk bars, apple fritters, coffee in a styrofoam cup. The raspberry remains the correct call at six in the morning, with the coffee alongside it.
