Elizabeth Ruiz, whose family moved from Acapulco to San Diego in the early 1990s, opened Todo Pa' La Cruda in 2020 serving the kind of restorative, hand-made food her community craved - pozole verde, menudo, aguachile, mole, things built from scratch. The Hillcrest outpost, which soft-opened in February, brings her family recipes and Guerrero-rooted technique to a neighborhood that's never had them quite like this before, in sit-down format meant for lingering.
