There's a legitimate case that the fajita as we know it was invented at this address. In 1973, Ninfa Rodriguez Laurenzo started serving grilled beef strips folded into handmade tortillas out of the back of her family tortilla factory - a dish she called tacos al carbon that became Houston's most copied export. The Navigation location keeps the original energy: crowded, covered outdoor seating, margaritas served strong, and fajitas that haven't needed updating in 50 years.
