Emeril Lagasse opened this room in 1990, when the Warehouse District was still mostly warehouses, and it made his name before television did. His son E.J. rebuilt the whole thing around a tasting menu, and in 2025 the kitchen took two Michelin stars, the first awarded in Louisiana. The barbecue shrimp and the banana cream pie survived the renovation, which tells you which parts of the old menu people would have rioted over.
