New Haven apizza is a specific and stubborn thing: thin, blistered, oblong, built for ferocious heat, and almost nobody on the Peninsula attempts it. Pazzo runs a wood-fired oven on Laurel Street doing exactly that, alongside pasta made in house, under the same ownership as Gambardella’s in Menlo Park. Walk-in and takeout only, with a parklet out front for the people who cannot wait to get home.
