Moo spent sixteen years on Truxtun Avenue grinding its own beef and churning its own ice cream before moving downtown in 2026 into the old New China Cafe, a 1928 Clarence Cullimore building whose original tile and Flemish bond brick are still in place. The kitchen runs as Moo Scratch Kitchen now, with the same rule: bread, sauces and ice cream all made on site. The grilled mac and pork sandwich and the bacon ice cream are what people drove across town for, and still do.
