Ball House Museum

The Casa de la Bola is one of Mexico City's best-kept secrets - an 18th-century hacienda in Tacubaya preserved with its original furniture, folk art, and domestic objects almost entirely intact, including a colonial-era kitchen still fitted with its copper pots. The name comes from the stone sphere atop the entrance gate. Unlike the city's major museums, this one sees few tourists, which means you can actually linger in the rooms without crowds.
