Paste a link to one of your SPOT guides into your blog and it becomes a working map and list: your spots, your words, your byline. It stays current when you edit the guide, and it hands you the readers instead of keeping them.
This is the real thing, not a picture of it.
Tap a pin and the list moves to that place. Scroll it. Open a spot. What follows below is exactly what a reader of your post would get.
What you get that a screenshot doesn't give you
Your name on it, not ours
Your photo, your handle, and a link to your profile sit at the top of every embed. A reader who likes your picks can follow you, not us.
Your links, on your places
Wrote a review, filmed a video, took the photos? Attach your own link to any spot in the guide and it shows up as "More from you" right under it.
Your email list
Every embed carries a subscribe field that builds your list, not ours. It is the one asset a blog post cannot build on its own, and no other embed offers it.
The rich result is yours
The guide's restaurant structured data is added to your page rather than kept on ours, so it is your post that is eligible for the rich result. The embed itself carries a noindex, so it can never turn up in search in place of you.
Two ways in. Both take a minute.
On WordPress
Paste the link. That is the whole step.
- 1.Install the SPOT Guides plugin below and activate it.
- 2.Copy your guide's link from the SPOT app, the one that looks like
spot-guide.com/g/your-guide. - 3.Paste it on its own line in the editor. WordPress turns it into the live guide as you type.
Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Works on WordPress 5.9 and up.
Everywhere else
Drop in two lines of HTML.
Ghost, Squarespace, Webflow, a hand-written site: anywhere you can add an HTML block. Replace YOUR-GUIDE with your guide's slug.

What does it cost?
Nothing. There is no paid tier, no placement fee, and we do not take a cut of anything you make.
Will it slow my page down?
The iframe is lazy-loaded, so nothing inside it is fetched until a reader scrolls near it. Your page renders at its normal speed whether or not the guide is ever seen.
What if my platform strips scripts?
The embed still works. It answers WordPress's own resize protocol, and every link inside it points back to SPOT rather than opening a new window, which is the one kind of link a locked-down embed can still follow.
Can I match it to my site?
Add ?theme=dark for a dark palette, or ?accent=RRGGBB for your own accent colour, to the end of the embed URL. Ask if you want something we do not offer yet.
Who owns the guide?
You do. Edit it in the SPOT app any time and every post you have already embedded it in catches up within a few minutes, because the embed reads the live guide rather than a copy.
